1791 Diversity of Christmas celebrations in Philadelphia

Quaker (Philadelphia Society of Friends) Caleb Cresson (1742-1816), wrote in his journal of a diversity of Christmas celebrations in Philadelphia in 1791-1792 "1st Day, 25th.—This being accounted the anniversary of our Blessed Saviour's birth, was a very fine pleasant day, and the streets very lively with people of various denominations resorting to their different places of Worship. Was at our own Meeting, as usual, and hope I received some benefit."
